ARI MEI-DAN
Ari is a Boston-based multidisciplinary photographer and filmmaker who began her career by complete accident. What started as a hobby took a turn when Ari brought a cheap camera to a show — and she never looked back. Now her focuses are largely on documentary and music-based work across several mediums.
Time and time again, Ari has been consistently drawn to capturing the most human moments ever. What makes people people? Her work has led her to directly collaborate with artists like Lazy Bird, Danny and the Parts, and Moondogs — as well with organisations such as Real Love Records, UVM Hillel, Emerson College Music Theatre Society, Publishing House, and Genesis Vermont. Previous press work of hers includes Lake Street Dive, Stephen Sanchez, The California Honeydrops, and The Paper Kites. Recently, Ari took on the role of Head of Photography for Five Cent Sound Magazine — Emerson College’s first ever music-centric publication — while also having shot for The Berkeley Beacon, Milk Crate WECB, and Index Magazine.
Ari is available for commission and hire within the Greater Boston area. For business inquiries, you can reach her through email or by filling out this form.
